The 1st Annual Tysons Sustainability Summit and Product Expo convenes at Capital One Headquarters in Tysons on Friday, June 12, 8:30am-6pm. Registration is now open. The event includes expert speakers and a display of new technologies and products. Admission is free. Lunch and an afternoon Happy Hour are provided.
Tysons Partnership and Davis, Carter, Scott Ltd are co-producing the Summit to underscore and fortify a Tysons-wide commitment to sustainable business and building practices. “Sustainability is a core value of our great, new city,” said Michael Caplin, President of Tysons Partnership.
Educational seminars and discussions will feature leaders in the field of sustainability, and a keynote address from Mark Ginsberg, Senior Fellow of the US Green Building Council and Principal at Ginsberg Green Strategies LLC. Other speakers include sustainability experts from world-renowned West Coast engineering firms, CapitalOne, WGL, and Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA).
The Summit includes an afternoon Green Product Expo and Happy Hour, where attendees will have hands-on access to exciting new sustainable building technologies and business solutions. “The design community must be on the cutting edge of new inventions and opportunities to preserve resources and a healthy environment,” said Doug Carter, co-founder of DCS. Vendors include: Intus Windows, Dow Building Solutions, SemaConnect, Armstrong, Delta, Convergent Water, and many more.
The Tysons Sustainability Summit will occur Friday, June 12, 2015 from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM at Capital One Conference Center (1680 Capital One Drive, Tysons, VA 22102).
The Summit is the final event of the 9th Annual DCS GreenWeek, a week-long sustainable design education campaign produced by DCS Design.
