Slide the City This Weekend

After much anticipation and a slight hiccup in the planning Tysons will be kicking off August with a good event to cool off, Slide the City. The Tysons Partnership has joined forces with lots of unique event planners to bring more innovative and exciting shows and attractions to Tysons this year and Slide the City will certainly add to that repertoire.

Slide the City is starting August 6th, at Westbranch Drive in North Central Tysons; 5 minutes from the Tysons Corner Metro on foot. It is exactly what it sounds like, a extremely long waterslide — a world record actually at 1000 feet long.

Early bird registration is already over but you can still save money prior to day-of and lots of different packages depending on how much you enjoy sliding for several minutes down a massive water slide. The slide is padded and kids over 5 are encouraged to come have fun. There are also volunteer opportunities if you are interested in sliding for free!

If sliding around and cooling off in the water isn’t your thing, the event also includes live music, food, and drinks. It’s going to be a busy summer in Tysons!

Get tickets today and save money.

What will ultimately make the project a success or failure will be its inter-relation with the surrounding neighborhood and street level, but one can still appreciate the architecture […]
