We’ve been watching the construction of the Nouvelle Apartments for several years now (before we knew it was called Nouvelle), so it’s very exciting to see they have completed the majority of the work and are now leasing units. At 27-stories the tower is a prominent feature in the skyline along with newly constructed VITA and next door 1775 Tysons Boulevard.
Coincident with the tower are some infrastructure improvements including the addition of streetscape along Westpark, a median which has already helped calm traffic, and a trail park along the rear of the property that will connect all of the Arbor Row projects. The small park hasn’t been 100% completed yet, but it’s starting to look good (more on that soon).
We also had the opportunity to tour a unit in Nouvelle and as you would expect it is quite nice. Several common amenity rooms including two theater rooms, a very nice recreation space with games, fitness center, and a great pool deck above the parking garage are going to popular with residents.
When fully leased the building will add as many as 1000 new residents to Tysons, helping provide a better balance of population to commuters, and hopefully spurring the growth of additional retail. Nouvelle is a mixed use building with ground level retail, including a premier space for a restaurant or bar, but no word yet on who might be moving in.
