There has been a lot of activity occurring around Scotts Run recently. Of course, the most obvious, is the construction of the Garfield parcel. There is also plenty of earth moving happening at the corner of Anderson and Route 123 where the West Group building once stood, as well as some earth moving happening up the hill near MITRE Building 4.
The big story at Scotts Run is the almost complete Garfield parcel. It’s been a long trek and we have been following it along the whole way:
Demolition Of the Old Building
Now the project is almost complete the final facade elements are being constructed. Glass for windows is up, the brick work is nearly complete, and balconies are starting to be secured. The final step will be completing the interior fit out, mechanical systems, and of course the final site establishment. I’m sure many residents in the nearby neighborhood are ready for the roads and sidewalks to be fixed up and clear for access to metro.
