If you aren’t an avid reader of our website — shame on you if you aren’t — then it might be difficult to keep up with all the news and changes coming to Tysons. That’s why Fairfax County officials are holding a Community Showcase event that will cover what’s happened in town since 2010, and what is on the horizon. Experience Tysons is a collaborative event with local restaurants and music to help visualize and discuss the evolving city. The event will also include information about the upcoming Tysons Bikeshare stations — you may have already seen them around town — and how Bikeshare works. There will also be a raffle for a one year Bikeshare membership, as well as coupons for single day uses to help new users become accustomed to the system.
The event is being held at the new Basis Independent school at 8000 Jones Branch Drive, adjacent to the Freddie Mac building, on October 19th. The event has some scheduled formatting, but largely attendees can come and leave when they choose, in case you don’t have the available time to stick around for the full two hours.
Free parking is available for the event, or alternatively you can take the 424 Tysons Circulator bus from most locations around North Central Tysons, including from the Tysons Corner Metro station.
