The summer of events is well underway in the area, with each weekend having something going on near by. This weekend is no different, with the annual Viva Vienna festival taking place Saturday through Monday, on Church Street in Vienna.
The event organizers are touting the biggest lineup to date for live entertainment and vendors. Expect the traditional carnival rides for kids with food and shopping for parents. My personal favorite last year were the turkey legs, which I plan on enjoying again this year.
While there won’t be any alcoholic drinks served at the festival itself, nearby restaurants like Vienna Inn, Bazins, and many more will provide drinking holes to duck into when you need to quench your thirst.
For more information about the festival see the official website.
