When Noodles & Co. shut down at Tysons West it left prime ground floor retail at the corner of the first phase of the project open for lease. That is no longer the case as District Taco, the one time food truck, now popular brick & mortar, is expanding from Arlington and DC into Tysons. The interior has been under construction for a month or so now, but it’s still unclear when the restaurant might open.
District Taco, you may recall, also recently opened up at the Avenir development in Merrifield. The company is clearly targeting urban or emerging urban areas where there are less fast casual food options than its home bases in Arlington and DC. This is good news for both Tysons and Tysons West, as District Taco comes with a history of being quite popular, likely helping anchor the big plans at Tysons West for several years to come.
