I am noticing that crews are now driving piles in a lot next to Tyco Road (behind the old Buick dealer building that is for the time being a furniture store) – this is the place where the Metro construction crews had staged things during Silver line construction. I assume that this is the first building in the Georgelas project.
I am guessing that the piles are for shoring up walls while they excavate the basement levels of the new building.
