At the Ask Fairfax online discussion, no less than 4 questions were asking about the same problem…
Where are the bus stops for the new circulator routes going to be in North Tysons?
It seems that the discussion group was unprepared to offer any answers and didn’t fully acknowledge the question at first, but eventually said that they are continuing to install the signage and stops. With less than 3 weeks to go before start of service, I and several others including Navid seem to be somewhat concerned about whether Fairfax Connector is going to be prepared with day 1 service, and how we can plan our new commutes.
If people are seeing new bus stops pop up on the new circulator routes, please share here. I think the main concern is that the stops are not going to provide as “close-in” service to the main residential areas as might be possible. In particular we all want to see the intersection of West Park/Park Run serviced because of all the neighboring communities – with the removal of the 425 – we’re not sure where the stop will be. Also there should be a stop on Tysons Blvd near Park Run as currently there is no stop along the stretch for the 495 Express buses to serve the Avalon community along Park Run with service on the circulator route that runs on Tysons Blvd.
