It’s been almost 6 months since the Boro broke ground in Tysons at the intersections of Westpark Drive and Greensboro Drive. The project is one of the most anticipated developments in the DC metro region, let alone Tysons. The scale of the project, which includes apartments, offices, a new movie theater, and a flagship Whole Foods, is enormous. The final product of the development will be a mico-city within the growing city of Tysons.
Since that time the site has put up construction fencing, remove several million cubic feet of dirt, and has begun pouring for foundations of the underground parking garages. The signage around the site is noting the expected opening date in 2019, so don’t get too excited just yet. When summer gets here the Boro will be rising out of the ground in a marquee location, being watched over by tens of thousands of office workers in the adjoining high density office buildings.
