Fairfax County’s new police chief has made some news about transparency policies, but Tysons residents might be interested in the plans for new paired beat cops that will patrol town on foot. No word yet on what safety policies will be put in place to protect those officers from being struck by vehicles along the asphalt canyons of Route 7 and 123. (WTOP)

In case you haven’t heard, the Taste of Tysons festival will be held next Saturday on Boone Boulevard and will feature local restaurant selections. This food festival is on top of 5 other outdoor festivals planned for Tysons this year to celebrate the changes occurring around town. More info to come.
