Urbanism Concept of the Day
Our neighbor to the west, the one that is usually the butt of a few inside the beltway types, now has something to make fun of us for. It appears they have jumped ahead of us on sustainable transit, atleast in a portion of the state which is more dense, with their solar powered transit initiative. The Mountain Line Transit Authority of northern West Virginia, has installed 580 solar panels for their transit facility reducing their monthly energy bills from $2,300 to $416, and are expected to save around $15,000 a year.
