Concessions to residents have created the worst of both worlds, an unleaseable and unattractive version of redevelopment. While many times local neighborhoods have made valid points about traffic creation and late hours on mixed use developments, in many cases the impacts of these new developments would be completely invisible to nearby towns that are separated by several miles of road.
