We’ve talked before about 1st Stage Theater, a professional theater here in Tysons which has not only survived the past 8 years of operation, but has achieved critical acclaim and success. Artistic Director Alex Levy was awarded Best Director of the Year by Broadway World Washington for his direction of The Good Counselor. The theater received two Helen Hayes awards for outstanding direction and lead acting, and received a National Theater Company Grant from American Theater Wing.
1st Stage’s performance of Proof has garnered attention once again from critics, and they are celebrating with a special event on May 6th with an exclusive performance of Proof accompanied by food and drink at their annual Spring Celebration.
The event helps sustain the theater, but it’s not the only way to show support. With tickets as low as $15, 1st Stage provides truly professional quality stage productions for everyone. You can attend Proof through May 8th, and the season closes with a performance of Floyd Collins running from June 2nd to June 26nd.
